Healthcare Quality Week
By the Governor of the State of Alabama
A Proclamation
July 01, 2009

WHEREAS, quality healthcare is a foundation for improved outcomes for patients; and

WHEREAS, improved patient outcomes result in better quality of life, and decreased healthcare costs; and

WHEREAS, citizens throughout Alabama depend upon the availability of quality healthcare options provided by highly skilled and dedicated medical professionals; and

WHEREAS, healthcare quality professionals provide expertise in education and monitoring processes, structures, and outcomes of health care delivery systems, with the goal of improvement; and

WHEREAS, healthcare quality professionals across Alabama take their responsibility of maintaining high standards of care quite seriously; and

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Bob Riley, Governor of Alabama, do hereby proclaim October 15 through October 25, 2009, as

Healthcare Quality Week

in the State of Alabama.
